The Tenet MIPS helmet is equipped with an innovative hybrid construction combining a durable and ventilated upper part (Hard Shell) with a lower lightweight In Mold shell. It is thus directly created for your all-mountain adventure. The helmet is equipped with the MIPS system, which, thanks to its two-part construction, reduces the effect of rotational forces on the head in the event of a fall. So that you can adapt to changing temperatures, we have integrated the Thermostat Control system into the helmet, which regulates ventilation. In Form 2 fastening and comfortable antibacterial Ionic+ linings guarantee all-day comfort.

LX = women's version of padding

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKI HELMETS
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1077. The goal of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall and subsequent impact on the slope. In an impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner linings. In the event of an impact at an angle, the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
