Boot bananas were developed by Alex and her partner Phil - a climbing instructor. Boot Bananas were born out of their desire to get rid of Phil's smelly shoes and climbing shoes for good.

Just when they moved into their first apartment together, the problem with Phil's climbing shoes could no longer be hidden. They tried everything available on the shoe deodorizer market, but nothing worked on Phil's climbing shoes. So, Phil and Alex finally decided to fight shoe odor themselves. Alex decided not to use any chemicals, so together with Phil, they developed their own powerful blend of naturally deodorizing salts, minerals, and natural perfumes. Alex was tasked with designing an optimal shape that was friendly to shoes and climbing shoes.

How to care for Boot Bananas?When not in use, store them in the plastic bag they are sold in, but never put them in this bag when wet. The active ingredients would not be able to dry and their effectiveness would be lost. From time to time, let the "bananas" dry in the sun or near a heat source. Do not expose your "bananas" to cold. If you leave them overnight in the car in cold weather, let them dry the next day, preferably in the sun.
How do you know it's time for new ones?Active ingredients tend to brown over time. This happens primarily with frequent and active use, when the "bananas" regularly absorb moisture from your shoes. Once the Boot Bananas start to lose their color, it's high time to get new ones. For effectiveness, we recommend replacing them within 6 months at the latest, however, if you do not take care of your Boot Bananas according to the recommendations above, it is possible that the interval will be shorter.
