Fenix HM75R Topaz rechargeable headlamp, 1600 lm, black
Fenix HM75R Topaz rechargeable headlamp
The rechargeable Fenix HM75R Topaz headlamp is specially adapted for the Czech and Slovak market and has several changes and improvements compared to the standard version of the Fenix HM75R headlamp:- In addition, the headlamp has a combined mode, in which both the long-distance and the wide reflector are lit at the same time
- The latest 18650 battery with a capacity of 4000 mA is used inside the headlamp instead of 3400 mAh in the standard version
- The package does not include an external battery or an extension USB cable, making the headlamp more affordable. If necessary, both can be purchased separately
- In the remote reflector, an LED with a warmer neutral shade (approx. 4500 K) is used instead of a cold one
- LEDs with a warm shade (approx. 3000 K) and a high colour rendering quality index of CRI 94.5 (Color Rendering Index) are used in the wide reflector.
- The red light is switched on by double-clicking the button directly from the off state
- The weakest mode of the red light has been reduced to 2 lumens and the flashing has been increased to 10 lumens and has an increased frequency for a more effective warning function
The headlamp is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery 18650 4000 mAh, but it is also possible to purchase a removable rear battery case with a 21700 5000 mAh battery for a significant extension of the lighting time. The headlamp can also be operated without a battery inside, only with power from a power bank via a USB-C cable (with slightly reduced maximum power). The headlamp is made of a light and durable magnesium alloy, its construction is fully dust and waterproof according to the IP68 standard and also shock-resistant when dropped from a height of 2 meters.
The HM75R Topaz headlamp is suitable for everyone who wants a strong and reliable partner in extreme conditions thanks to its excellent performance and durability parameters. It will serve great when working, e.g. rescuers, but also athletes, climbers, repairmen, tourists, and other outdoor enthusiasts. A very strong red light is a pleasant bonus.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, operating time on batteries, waterproofing, throw and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Using the HM75R Topaz headlamp
There may be an insulating cap on the battery from the factory. Remove it before first use.The headlamp is turned on and off with a rotary switch on the right side. In the first position, the headlamp is turned off, by turning it to the second position, it turns on the remote reflector mode. By turning it to the third position, it turns on the wide reflector mode, and by turning it to the fourth position, the remote and wide reflector are turned on at the same time. When the headlamp is off, press the button twice quickly to turn on the last used red light mode. Holding down the button turns the red light off again.
The power modes of any reflector are cyclically switched by pressing the button on the side of the rotary switch.
Memory of the last set power mode - The headlamp has a memory and always turns on in the last set power mode of the selected reflector, except for the highest modes of the long and wide reflector. Instead, it turns on in the second-highest mode of the given reflector.
Intelligent power reduction - The headlamp has a built-in protection circuit. When the reflector gets closer to the illuminated object (less than 60 mm) for more than 1.5s, it will automatically reduce the power to low mode to prevent the object from being damaged by strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is away from the illuminated object for more than 0.8 s, the headlamp automatically restores the previously used power level.
Turn on/off the smart proximity sensor - With the headlamp off, press the side button for 6 seconds. Turning on the function is indicated by the headlamp with two flashes in low mode. Deactivation of the headlamp function is indicated by eight flashes in low mode.
Intelligent protection against overheating - When the headlamp is used for a long time at high power modes, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60 °C or higher, it will automatically reduce the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the performance gradually increases again.
Headlamp low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power is reached, the battery level indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Charging the headlamp - Unfold the dust cover and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port of the headlamp. Put the dust cap back on after charging is complete. During the charging process, the four indicators on the upper side of the headlamp gradually light up and flash. Four solid lights indicate charging is complete. Normal charging time is 4 hours with a 5 V/2.5 A USB source for a fully discharged headlamp.
Note: While charging with a 9V USB source, the headlamp can be used in all modes. The maximum output of the long reflector will be limited to 1200 lumens and the wide reflector to 700 lumens. While charging with a 5V USB source, the headlamp can only be used in the two lowest modes of any reflector. The headlamp will flash several times when first switched on after connecting the USB source, thus indicating the charging voltage used. Two flashes indicate 5V charging and four flashes indicate 9V charging. When powered from a USB source, the headlamp can also be used without a battery inside. Only charge original Fenix ARB-L18 batteries in the headlamp.
Indication of the battery charge status in the headlamp - After a short press of any button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator of the battery charge status on the upper side of the headlamp is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing means the battery is less than 20% charged.
Battery replacement - Unscrew the headlight cap and insert the battery with the plus pole facing the headlight. Then fully tighten the headlamp cap again.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty
- Use only high-quality Li-ion batteries or disposable CR123A batteries for power supply
- If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost empty - replace them or charge the accumulator
- The contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol
