The Merino Hardshell Light material is incredibly light (68 g/m²), but at the same time powerful thanks to the Dermizax® DT Membrane from Toray. The two-and-a-half-layer laminated construction offers a water column (min. 20,000 mm) as a technical membrane, but at the same time lightness and high breathability (min. 20,000 g/m2/24 h) as a typical wind-resistant material. The patented Micro Bead Structure lining technology guarantees long life and wearing comfort thanks to its ability to quickly wick away moisture. The lining is stitched with a layer of microbeads that help wick moisture from the body to the membrane faster. Forget about a sweaty, damp jacket. Thanks to this technology, you will always be dry in it.

A technical weapon in your pocket

Thanks to new elements, which include an elastic waistband and chest pocket, the Merino Hardshell Light material is even more functional. You can now easily pack the ORTOVOX 2.5L CIVETTA JACKET into its chest pocket and, thanks to the practical loop, you can easily attach it to a climbing seat or pull it down so that it takes up as little space as possible in your backpack. This light jacket is the ideal companion for alpine hikes, where you will especially appreciate its low weight, packability and the protection it always provides.

A universal companion for the mountains

In addition to the high-quality water column, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised by its flexible hood. The jacket is really detailed in every respect. A circumferential elastic band and a reinforced visor ensure an optimal fit in wind and rain, while discreet MERINO COOL inserts increase wearing comfort in the chin and forehead area. Elastic cuffs and elastic seam prevent unwanted penetration of wind and moisture. There is still enough storage space in the chest pocket for a map, energy bars or a mobile phone.

The highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.

ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.

These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, Merino wool neutralizes odors thanks to its antibacterial effects, and it is very easy to care for.

Uncompromising two-year warranty

ORTOVOX products are made of the highest quality, which is why solving any complaints is really easy. If you discover a manufacturing defect, be it a fraying seam, external fraying or a non-functioning zipper, just send the product to us and we will take care of its repair, replacement or refund. For out-of-warranty repairs, ORTOVOX has its own service center where it repairs everything.

It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims.
