Mountain Equipment Earthrise Women's Jacket

A women's jacket with a significantly smaller ecological footprint than other insulated jackets. It uses exclusively reclaimed goose and duck down as insulation, and both materials (outer fabric and lining) are 100% recycled. The down jacket is not only ecologically sound but also a reliable warm layer for the mountains and everyday wear.

100% Recyclable Jacket

The production of clothing and equipment is a significant contributor to CO2 emissions, consumes valuable natural resources, and greatly contributes to environmental pollution and waste generation. This jacket is 100% recycled, which significantly reduces the consumption of new materials and waste. Whether it's the outer fabric, lining, or down, everything is recycled, significantly reducing the ecological impact of this product.

DOWN CYCLE® - Down Recycling Cycle

DOWN CYCLE® is Mountain Equipment's commitment to contributing to sustainable production. The improvement of sustainable production began in 2017 with the Earthrise range, where 100% post-consumer recycled down was first introduced. This also gave rise to the idea of creating a functioning closed-loop recycling system. This means that down clothing or sleeping bags that are unwanted or at the end of their life cycle will not simply be thrown away, but the down will be used to produce new products.

DOWN CODEX® – Symbol of Ethical Approach to Animal Husbandry

DOWN CODEX® is a control of down origin, its quality, and an ethical and ecological approach to animal husbandry. Every year, the farms from which Mountain Equipment sources down are inspected by the independent Swiss organization IDFL to ensure they meet the highest quality parameters. This guarantees high quality of animal living conditions and, consequently, the quality of the down. One does not work without the other.
  • Each product with down has a unique code under which you can trace the origin of the down and its parameters
  • A comprehensive and transparent system for auditing down origin, from all brands and anywhere in the world
  • In Mountain Equipment products, down is always only a by-product of farms for meat or eggs

You can pack the jacket in its own pocket and fasten it to the seat with a carabiner using two loops
