The MERINO FLEECE LIGHT range completed the range of ORTOVOX fleece sweatshirts in a lower weight. You will appreciate the products from this line during active movement in winter and throughout the summer. Thanks to Tasmanian Merino wool, high breathability and elasticity, MERINO FLEECE LIGHT is pleasant to wear and provides perfect comfort whether in winter or summer. The waffle structure on the inside ensures the removal of moisture, thanks to which you will feel warm and dry even during all-day physical activity. Suitable for climbing and via ferrata, as well as for high-altitude tourism or ski mountaineering and ski touring.

Still like new

The outer side of the sweatshirt is made of polyester, which is very durable, elastic and supports quick drying. Its biggest advantage is its shape stability and really long service life. The combination of polyester and waffle construction on the inner woolen side creates a neoprene effect, where heat is held in air pockets on the inner side, and the outer polyester knit prevents blowing out and creates a barrier against heat loss.

Lightweight waffle construction that better insulates heat

The waffle construction not only offers better moisture removal and breathability, but thanks to a larger number of air pockets, it insulates more heat than most wool sweatshirts of this weight (205 g/m ² ). Another advantage is faster drying. Waffle construction is used on the inside in the form of knitting into small squares.

The highest quality Merino wool

ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict standards of the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP).

ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.

These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, Merino wool neutralizes odors thanks to its antibacterial effects, and it is very easy to care for.

Product features

There is a spacious pocket on the chest of the ORTOVOX FLEECE LIGHT ZIP NECK sweatshirt, which can also accommodate items the size of an A5 pad. The pocket is at chest level, for easy access even through the waist belt of the backpack or harness. The sweatshirt has a high-quality long YKK® zipper , a higher collar and an ergonomic cut.

It had a double frequency transceiver for searching avalanche victims. Except for safety systems and finders, they also offer apparel, backpacks, shovels, probes, and other freeride and alpine equipment.
