Devold® Originals are extra warm and traditional Norwegian sweaters made from 100% Norwegian wool. These sweaters were originally made for fishermen and other workers who tested them daily in the harsh Norwegian environment. Today, these sweaters have become popular as a second or third layer, which is ideal for cold weather. For greater wearing comfort, sweaters are pre-washed so that they are soft enough and have an ideal shape.

Wool does not melt or burn and provides naturally high protection against harmful UV radiation.

The world of Devold is built on the most technical and hitherto unsurpassed natural fiber, which we can process absolutely perfectly. It is made of wool, which is a 100% natural fiber with properties that no artificial fiber can replace. Its primary job is to protect you. We cannot manufacture wool, but for more than 166 years we have been able to perfectly process it and extract unique properties from it. We process the wool ourselves and our production plants are located exclusively in Europe. As the only one, we control the entire process of wool production, from sheep shearing, through spinning yarn, to weaving knitwear and sewing the final product. We are uncompromising when it comes to quality and innovation.

Caring
To ensure that the wool retains its brilliant properties for as long as possible, wash the sweater only by hand in environmentally friendly detergents with lanolin.

Dry flat, do not wring by hand - just squeeze the water out of the product. Do not dry on a heat source.

Norse company Devold produces wool base layers. In 1853, Ole Andreas Devold founded this company in Ålesund. A tradition dating back as this one is unique - it is surely the oldest producer of the wool base layer in the world. Devold's base layers range from the light collection ''Breeze'' (which is best for the warmer months and sweatier activities) to the ''Expedition'' collection (best for very cold conditions). Other than base layers for every activity, they also make sweaters, headwear, gloves, socks and more.
