Tapes and pain relief
Tapes and taping belts are a modern solution to keep the body in optimal condition and protect vulnerable parts. In this category, we offer a comprehensive range of fixation and kinesiology tapes that provide mechanical support, pain relief and improved muscle function.
Kinesiology tapes (K-tapes)
- Characteristics: Elastic bands that imitate the elasticity of human skin.
- Uses: Used to relieve pain, support muscles and joints without restricting movement, improve lymphatic circulation and reduce swelling. Ideal for long-term wear during sports activities.
- Design: Various colours, patterns, and widths (e.g. 5 cm) with hypoallergenic glue and waterproof finish.
Fixation/Sports Tapes (Firm Tapes)
- Characteristics: Inelastic, strong strips with high adhesion.
- Uses: Designed to maximize joint stabilization (e.g. ankle, wrist) and limit unwanted movement after an acute injury. They provide strong mechanical support that helps prevent re-injury.
- Design: Textile, cotton or synthetic strips of various widths, easily tearable even without scissors.
Why tape?
- Injury prevention: Strengthen weak areas before a tough workout.
- Pain relief: Kinesiology tape helps relieve pressure on pain receptors under the skin.
- Posture correction: They will help remind the muscles of the correct movement pattern.
- Faster recovery: Improved lymph and blood flow accelerates the absorption of bruises and swelling.
Can I apply the tape myself?
Yes, you can do simple applications on smaller muscles yourself. For complex and precise applications (e.g. for serious knee or shoulder injuries), it is recommended to consult a physiotherapist or other specialist.
How to remove tape properly?
Remove the tape slowly and gently in the direction of hair growth. To minimize pain and irritation, you can gently stretch the skin or use a special adhesive remover/oil to loosen the adhesive.
Can I tape if I have an open wound?
No. The tape should never be applied directly to open wounds, abrasions, burns, or skin with active skin conditions.
