This NTA certified MTB helmet still has effective protection thanks to Spherical Technology Powered by MIPS. This unique system, which the Giro brand developed in collaboration with MIPS, works on the principle of a joint - the helmet consists of two parts (a hemisphere) that are connected by elastomers and slide over each other just like the joint. This allows the outer layer to rotate around the inner layer in the event of an impact, reducing forces that would otherwise act directly on the brain. This construction solution completely replaces the classic plastic MIPS insert used by MIPS helmets without Spherical technology.
And in addition, there is Progressive Layering technology, which consists of two different hardnesses of the outer and inner layers. While the outer layer made of EPS foam is harder and is thus ready to absorb impacts at high speed, the inner layer of EPP foam is softer and has reflective properties to absorb impacts as much as possible at lower speeds.

Variant Giro Coalition Spherical prilba, čierna matná
Hands down the best full face helmet I tried. After trying on POC Otocon, FOX Proframe RS, Bell Super DH, ABUS Airdrop, this helmet fitted my head like glove, the only one coming close was POC Otocon MIPS, but in size L for my body type, was just huge (Think of PAC Man).
Translate by GoogleShow the originalJust had a multi day bike trip, in +25* celsius weather and the ventilation was great. It has great field of view as well.
The only minor downside are the cheek pads, which tend to come sometimes when taking the helmet off. This is due to the fact that they are made to be easily removable by paramedics in case of crash, so I'm good with that.
All in all, I super recommend the helmet.
