Fenix HM61R Amber rechargeable headlamp
Fenix HM61R Amber rechargeable headlamp
The Fenix HM61R Amber is a high-performance rechargeable headlamp that offers a luminous flux of up to 1200 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500 K) with an afterglow of up to 145 meters and is also equipped with red LEDs.The Fenix HM61R multifunctional lamp is an ideal companion for various sports activities, trips to nature, home and work.
The HM61R Amber version is specially modified for the Czech and Slovak market, it differs from the standard version in the following three points:
- The battery is also equipped with its own micro-USB connector.
- The diode has a neutral shade of light instead of cold
- The control is modified so that the headlamp can be turned on directly to white and red light (as with the HM51R). The standard HM61R for other markets cannot be turned on directly at a red light.
The use
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Before first use , remove it from the battery.- When the headlamp is turned off, it will turn on to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- When the headlamp is turned off, press the button twice quickly to turn on the last used red light mode.
- The headlamp is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
Battery charge status indication: After a short press of the button (headlight must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator light is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged at 25-50%. Blinking red means that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains. The indication works correctly only with rechargeable 18650 batteries.
Protection against overheating: When operating in turbo mode (1200 lumens), after one minute the power will gradually decrease to 900 lumens. If the temperature exceeds 65 °C, the headlamp starts to reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. As soon as the temperature drops below 65 °C, the performance will gradually increase again.
Charging: plug the charging cable into the USB connector of the computer, the USB adapter in the network or in the car. Attach the cable to the charging pad on the headlamp, it will attach itself using magnets. During charging, the indicator light on the cable lights up red, after charging is complete it lights up green. The headlamp can be used in all modes even while charging, but the charging time will be adequately extended. Charging a fully discharged Fenix ARB-L18-3500U battery takes approximately 4 hours.
Warning about a discharged battery: If the battery voltage drops below 3V under load, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically discharged, the indicator in the button will light up red, but the headlamp will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is only calibrated to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Headlamp lock against unwanted start-up: Loosen the headlamp battery cap a quarter of a turn, this will break the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
- When using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the lamp.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the light flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty - charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back part of the lamp is loose - tighten it.
