Fenix PD40R V2.0 rechargeable lamp

The Fenix PD40R V2.0 rechargeable flashlight offers a great light output of up to 3000 lumens (ANSI) and a afterglow of 405 meters, with a pocket size of less than 14 centimeters in length.

The package also includes a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is charged directly in the lamp via a modern USB-C connector.
The Fenix PD40R V2.0 lamp has five different lighting modes, which are easily switched using the rotating ring on the lamp head. On the lowest mode , it can shine for up to 88 hours, which is almost 4 days of light in one piece.

There is also a mode of stroboscopic flashes for crisis situations.

The lamp is powered by a digitally regulated constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (while they are gradually discharged). In addition, the lamp is equipped with an indication of the state of charge of the batteries next to the charging connector. The Fenix PD40R V2.0 lamp impresses not only with its compact dimensions, but also with its truly extreme light output. The lamp is particularly suitable for movement in unclear terrain, search operations, tracking, daily wear and normal home use.

The use

From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery, remove it before the first use. To turn on, turn the control ring to the right. Changing modes is done by turning the control ring (to increase power to the right, to decrease it to the left). There is a stroboscope in the extreme right position. Turn off the lamp by turning the ring to the extreme left position.

Intelligent protection against overheating - if the temperature of the lamp rises above 65°C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps, as soon as the temperature of the lamp drops below 65°C, the power will gradually increase again.

In indication of the state of charge of the batteries - every time it is switched on, the indicator LED next to the charging connector is activated for three seconds. If the indicator light is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged to 25-50%. Blinking red means there is less than 25% battery capacity left.

Charging - flip off the rubber cover of the charging connector on the side of the lamp and plug in the included cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or USB adapter into the electrical network or car. During charging, the indicator next to the charging connector lights up red. It lights up green when fully charged. Charging a completely discharged battery takes about 3 hours (with a 2A power supply).

Warning of depleted batteries - the lamp will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode and the indicator LED in the side button will start flashing red.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
• If the light flickers, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
  
  • The battery is dead, charge it.
  • The contacts inside the lights are clogged - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The back part of the lamp is loose, tighten it.
