Fenix BC21R V2.0 charging bicycle light
The powerful rechargeable Fenix BC21R V2.0 bike light brings a luminous flux of up to 1000 lumens (ANSI) with a glow of up to 145 meters. It is powered by a 18650 type Li-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is included in the package and is charged via the USB-C connector directly in the lamp. The light source is a modern Cree XM-L2 T6 diode with a warmer shade of light (neutral white). The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting presentation of colors in the field. The lamp uses the proven technology of double direction of light "Dual Distance Beam System". The main cone of light is created by specially designed optics and shines into the distance, while the secondary wide cone of rays completes the optical element, which is shaped in such a way that the light directed upwards refracts down to the ground. This creates a cone that continuously illuminates the entire space in front of the bicycle - even in places that normal bicycle lights cannot cover.
The design of the holder allows quick assembly and disassembly of the light on the handlebars without the use of tools, the holder also allows the lamp to be quickly removed, so it can also be used as a high-performance hand light. The holder can be used for all handlebars with a diameter of 22 to 35 millimeters.
The Fenix BC21R V2.0 offers a total of five digitally regulated power modes with a duration of up to 30 hours and there is also flashing. The Fenix bike light will provide you with quality lighting for night training, regular commuting to work and endurance races.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI / NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Parameters of the Fenix BC21R V2.0 bike light:
- A powerful Cree XM-L2 T6 LED with a warm shade of light and a lifespan of 50,000 hours is used.
A total of five performance modes:
measured with 2600 mAh battery: 1000 lumens (2 hours) -> 400 lumens (6 hours) -> 150 lumens (13 hours) -> 50 lumens (30 hours) -> flashing (pulsing between 50 and 400 lumens).
- The lamp is supplied with a rechargeable Li-ion battery 18650 with a capacity of 2600mAh.
- Any Fenix 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery can be purchased as a spare battery.
- Alternatively, two disposable CR123A lithium batteries can be used for power supply (do not try to charge them in the lamp).
- Digitally regulated for constant brightness.
- Warning of discharged batteries, protection against overcharging and complete discharge of the accumulator.
- Protection against overheating - if the lamp heats up above a safe limit, the output will be automatically reduced.
- Specially shaped optics create a light cone combining wide peripheral lighting and afterglow of up to 145 meters (5300 cd).
- The lamp is attached to the holder using a quick-release mechanism, which allows it to be removed in an instant and just as quickly put back on safely.
- The rubberized design of the holder sleeve ensures a firm and secure attachment of the lamp to the bicycle with simple and reliable adjustment of the lighting direction.
- Compatible with handlebars with a diameter of 22 to 35 millimeters.
- The lighting direction can be adjusted in three steps to both sides in the range of approx. 30°.
- The lamp is made of solid aluminum alloy and impact-resistant plastic.
- Dustproof and waterproof according to the IP66 standard (spraying with strong water jets from all directions).
- Impact resistant to a fall from a height of 1 meter.
- Light dimensions 11.6 cm x 3.1 cm x 3.0 cm.
- Light weight 67 grams (without battery), 115 grams including battery, 146 grams including battery and holder.
Package contents: lamp, universal handlebar holder, Fenix 18650 battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, USB-C cable, spare sealing ring, rubber inserts for the handlebar holder.
The use:
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.
To turn on or off, hold down the side button for about 0.5 seconds. The lamp is always switched on in the lowest mode, you can switch to other levels of power at any time during operation by pressing the button. To switch to flashing mode, press the button twice quickly.
Battery capacity indication (applies only when powered by an 18650 Li-ion battery) - press the button briefly once with the lamp off, then the indicator LED next to the button lights up for three seconds. Green light indicates more than 70% battery charge, orange light indicates 70-40% charge, red light indicates 40-10% and red flashing less than 10%. The indicator LED also lights up when the light is on, so the user is constantly informed about the state of the battery while driving.
Warning about a discharged battery - if the capacity of the battery falls below a safe level, the lamp will automatically switch to lower power modes to ensure the longest possible endurance (the lamp cannot then be switched to higher modes). If the battery is critically discharged, the button starts flashing red. In such a case, we recommend charging the battery as soon as possible, so that the protective electronics built into the batteries do not turn off and thus go out.
Charging
Unfold the rubber cover of the USB-C connector on the bottom of the lamp and use the included USB cable to connect it to a computer, power bank, network USB adapter or USB car adapter.
While charging, the button lights up red, after full charge it lights up green.
Charging time is approx. 2.5 hours. The used Li-ion battery does not suffer from a memory effect, so the light can be charged at any time.
While charging, the emergency light can be used, but only in the lowest mode of 50 lumens.
After charging and removing the power cable, do not forget to seal the cover of the USB-C connector.
Notice:
Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
When using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the lamp.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
If the lamp flashes, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- the batteries are almost empty, charge the battery or replace it.
- the contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- the battery tube is loose, tighten it.
Warranty:
Five-year warranty for the lamp, two years for the battery.
