Premium rechargeable batteries Fenix 18650 3400mAh (ARB-L2S) with protection electronics (protected) are based on premium NCR18650B cells from Panasonic with improved LiNiCoO2 technology, which brings higher safety and longer life. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterized by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge. Li-ion in size 18650 are the best choice in terms of stored energy with regard to the dimensions and weight of the accumulator.
Fenix accumulator protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protection electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent overcharging of the cell, its excessive discharge, and against short circuits or excessive current draw. If the battery electronics assess that the limit values have been reached, it safely disconnects the cell.
Internal protection consists of a separator, overheat protection (PTC thermal protection), and a special anti-explosion valve. In case the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator disconnects the electrodes inside the battery, thereby de facto interrupting the exothermic reaction, and the anti-explosion valve releases the overpressure of gas outside the accumulator. Thanks to the combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection, Fenix batteries are among the safest available Li-ion accumulators.
With its size, the 18650 accumulator roughly corresponds to two CR123A lithium batteries, which is why it is often used in flashlights as a rechargeable alternative to these primary cells. First, check if your device supports this cell. 18650 3400 mAh accumulators are primarily intended for Fenix TK35 UE V2.0 LED flashlights, but also for other Fenix LED flashlights E28R, E30R, PD32 V2.0, PD35, TK11 TAC, TK16, TK25 UV, TK25 FD41, LD30, SD11, SD20. Fenix HM60R, HM61R, HM65R, HM65R-T headlamps, CL26R, CL30R lanterns, and Fenix BC21R and BC30 bike lights.
Caution, due to the length of 70 mm and diameter, it may not fit into some older models – for example, Fenix PD31, TK11, TK21, TK30.

- If you are using an older charger purchased around 2014, first check if it fits accumulators with a length of 69-70 mm.
- Do not discharge the accumulator below 2.5 V if possible
