The completely redesigned two-chamber silencer X2 is an absolute milestone on the silencer market.
With individually adjustable rebound and compression levels across the high and low speed ranges, this shock can be adapted to a wide variety of downhill trails to give you performance you've never experienced before.
In the previous model, the air chamber was already optimized so that it could be filled with a maximum air pressure of 300 PSI. This reduces the risk of damage during extreme jumps. Furthermore, the valve design was changed to prevent air loss during inflation. A new low-friction seal and optimization of the internal structure for greater torsional stiffness also improve the already responsive behavior.
The small expansion tank allows easier integration of the shock absorber into various frame constructions.
The GRIP2 damping system taken over from suspension forks allows for optimal adjustment.
EVOL
The completely new modified one-piece large-volume EVOL air chamber significantly reduces the force required to tear the damper from its rest position and adds high sensitivity to the damper when handling small bumps. The smoothness of the ride can be adjusted with the help of internal delimiting inserts allowing the rider to fine-tune according to specific requirements.
Variable Valve Control (VVC)
Fox put all their knowledge into this damping. Based on the GRIP2 shock absorber of the suspension forks, compression at high and low speed and rebound at high and low speed can be adjusted separately. The setting must be done carefully, but then it offers endless driving fun on any surface.
With the Integrated Variable Valve Control (VVC) system, high-speed rebound sensitivity is changed by a leaf spring, not by changing preload. This requires a finely measured function and adjustment. In addition, throughout the entire development process, attention was paid to the use of low-friction materials. This enables a very smooth response and significantly increases comfort.
MCU elastomer stop
Made from Micro Cellular Urethane foam, this stop does not absorb oil and increases end-of-stroke progressivity.
KASHIMA COAT
The Kashima finish for a smooth driving experience is available exclusively from FOX. It offers excellent overall performance, ensures minimal friction and optimal response with maximum durability.
