Stresses coming from the road are transmitted directly to the handlebars in the form of unpleasant vibrations, which in a short time can turn into unpleasant tingling in the hands, reducing comfort and grip on the handlebars, negative consequences also for performance and safety. To be able to absorb them and reduce them to a minimum, you need to hold the handlebars firmly. A simple but great idea presented with the Shock-Absorber Kit by Selle Italia.SG-Tape is a special handlebar tape with grip that allows you to ensure even greater comfort and better grip on the handlebars, bringing benefits in terms of performance as well as safety in the saddle.
The handlebar pads are made of three layers of different materials: the first, a gel one, helps to simulate the behavior of muscles, compressing under the pad and recovering in a few seconds its original shape as soon as the hand pressure is minimized, the pad returns to its original shape. In addition to the gel layer, the addition of PU foam and a third Lycra layer helps increase the softness of the pads. Thanks to the specific composition of these two components, the Shock Absorber Kit, in addition to being one of the lightest on the market, also performs a combined action that produces very effective vibration absorption.
