Automatically translatedI've been riding MTB for years and bought a gravel bike that, for my size, came with 420mm handlebars without flare (avoiding the rams outwards). The handlebars supplied by the manufacturer were too narrow and uncomfortable for me and made my back hurt. That's why I decided on PRO Discover 480mm handlebars. I'll say it again that I'm a complete novice in the story of rams. When I had these PRO Discovers fitted, I found that the 30-degree flare also turned the brake levers too far, meaning that when holding the steering wheel by the brake levers, my hands were unnaturally turned from the elbows towards the palms inwards. It was quite unpleasant and another disadvantage of the 30-degree flare is that the brake pads protrude to the sides, meaning that if you need to lean the bike against a wall or put it on the ground, the brake pads ALWAYS touch the wall/ground. Not to mention if the bike falls it hits the brake caliper. Anyway, a big thank you to MTBiker. Even after trying out the handlebars because they had no signs of use, I was able to return them and I bought 460mm Easton handlebars with a 16 degree flare which are like ears for me and I found handlebars that fit me.
