FOX Float X Factory Trunnion shock
FOX Float X Factory Trunnion MY27 rear shock
The new FOX Float X for the 2027 model year brings a fundamental evolution in the All-Mountain suspension category. This shock has been completely redesigned from the inside out to offer even higher levels of sensitivity, support, and adjustability than we know from the elite X2 series. It is the ideal choice for riders looking for uncompromising performance in challenging terrain while maintaining low weight and high pedaling efficiency.
The key change for MY27 is an all-new internal monotube architecture with a high-flow main piston that significantly improves dynamic response and rear wheel traction. The shock features an improved MCU bottom-out bumper for a smooth end of stroke and a new top-out bumper for quieter operation when returning to the home position. With intuitive, tool-free adjustments, you can customize the shock to your exact preferences right on the trail.
Main news and improvements for 2027:
New main piston (High-flow): Architecture inspired by X2 models for unmatched sensitivity to small bumps and better support in the mid-stroke.
Improved MCU Bottom-out bumper: A more progressive and durable bumper system ensures a plush feel even in the hardest impacts.
Quieter operation: The new top-out bumper design eliminates mechanical noise when the shock absorber is fully extended.
Tool-free adjustment: Precise tuning thanks to 11-click LSC (low-speed compression) and 16-click LSR (low-speed rebound) without the need for Allen keys.
Efficient Firm Mode: Two-position lever with adjustable "Firm" mode for maximum efficiency on climbs.
Technical specifications:
Suspension type: Air.
Piston rod finish: Genuine Kashima Coat.
Mounting: Trunnion.
Weight: From 459 g.
Recommendation: To achieve the maximum potential of your new piston, we recommend taking the time to carefully adjust the SAG and then fine-tune the compression to your riding style. Regular servicing of the air chamber every 50 hours of driving will ensure consistent performance and extend the life of the seals. Important: When choosing a shock absorber, carefully check the required dimension (Eye-to-Eye) and stroke length specified by your frame manufacturer. The wrong size can seriously damage the bike frame or negatively affect its geometry and riding characteristics.
