A bicycle cassette consists of multiple gears of different sizes and number of teeth, which allows riders to choose the appropriate gear for efficient climbing, fast descents and smooth pedaling on flat sections. The main differences between 10-speed, 11-speed and 12-speed bicycle systems are the number of gears - pinions.
Here are some general guidelines to help you choose a 10-, 11-, or 12-speed cassette:

Gear range: If you ride mainly on the flat and you don't care about a wide range of gears, a 10-speed cassette may be enough for you. For a more universal setup suitable for diverse terrain, an 11- or 12-speed cassette may be more suitable.
Compatibility: Make sure the cassette is compatible with your bike's drivetrain components. Cassettes with different numbers of speeds may require specific derailleurs, nuts and chains.
Weight Lighter cassettes are usually more expensive, but can help reduce the overall weight of the bike. Consider your budget and whether weight is a deciding factor for your riding style.
Brand and model: When choosing a cartridge, stick to reputable brands. Popular brands include Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo. Each brand may have specific compatibility requirements.
