Galfer FD575 Performance brake pads for SRAM Maven, organic
Galfer brake pads designed exclusively for Sram Maven brakes, designated FD575. Available in four compounds.
Galfer designates the compound types by color - choose the compound based on color:
- PERFORMANCE G1053 (formerly "Standard" - black): these are suitable for all conditions. They have a harder compound and thus the longest lifespan. Their braking power is reliable in all conditions.
- ADVANCED G1851 (For wet conditions - red): they excel in extreme conditions, have a "softer" compound, and wear out faster.
- PRE G1554T (For racing - green): they do not require "bedding in". They are immediately effective and have excellent modulation, withstand higher thermal stress, and are also excellent in wet conditions.
- E-BIKES G1652 (E-bikes and DH - purple): they are developed for higher thermal stress, which will be appreciated especially by DH racers and e-bike riders, but not only them.
In general, the softer the compound (sharper braking and better in wet conditions), the faster it wears out, and vice versa.
We recommend taking the compound names and their colors as a guideline. Purple is ideal and correct for e-bikes, but that doesn't mean you can't get this compound for, for example, a road bike. You will certainly appreciate it on endless Alpine descents. It is really ideal to choose based on how you brake, in what conditions you ride, and not to choose mechanically based on color/name.
