VKÚ Harmanec
VKÚ Harmanec is a brand that is more than 70 years old. The Military Cartographic Institute in Harmanec was started in 1948. Its main activity was the production and printing of maps. Whole generations of Czechs and Slovaks have used its products in schools and in everyday life. In 2002, the state enterprise was transformed into VKÚ joint stock company.
In addition to map products, the company included in its publishing house the publishing and printing of textbooks for primary and secondary schools.
