GT Grade Sport 28 bike

Level and quality of equipment

Light and occassional rides

Suitable not only for commuting to work, but also for weekend trips outside the city. Ride on cycle paths, paved and gravel roads and during weekend activities. If you ride more frequently, expect to do the necessary fine-tuning more regularly.

Aluminium frame

Lighter, relatively durable and stiff material that is affordable. The most widespread material for the production of bicycle frames.

Mechanical disc brakes

Safer and more efficient braking even in wet and muddy conditions. Exerting more force on the lever for a higher braking effect. The cable may be subject to corrosion. Heavier weight.

Rigid fork

You will appreciate the lighter weight and stiffness, especially when riding on the road or bike path. Minimal service.

28” wheels

Often marked as 700c. They usually have a narrower profile, lower weight and high stiffness. They are the standard, especially for road (CX, gravel), trekking, city and cross-country bikes.

How we ship bikes

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:

The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
If you order a bicycle for in store pickup or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
7. Inflate the tires or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.

Gravel and cyclocross GT

This Californian brand has been designing and manufacturing bikes since 1972. They are one of the pioneers in the MTB discipline. Their framesets are easily recognisable thanks to their strict policy of three frameset triangles. GT's offer focuses essentially on bikes for unconsolidated terrain, which was their speciality from the start.
