For Ghost, LECTOR has been its symbol since its foundation. The manufacturer ranks this legend among the top of the Ghost brand offer. It's hard to imagine a more ultimate racing bike.

The new generation of LECTOR reflects the requirements for a modern XC/marathon special that can handle the demanding world championship, where the tracks are getting tougher and rougher year after year. This is not a skinny race bike for smooth tracks, this is a modern XC special with muscles, ready to deliver top results in difficult terrain under maximum load.

Ghost LECTOR has always been unmissable with its unique design. What immediately catches your eye, at first sight is undoubtedly the rear structure, which, following the pattern of a leaf pen, is designed to absorb vibrations as well as possible while maintaining maximum lateral stiffness.

The rider gets a perfect geometry called SuperFit®. Behind the SuperFit® geometry is a carefully created algorithm based on the evaluation of tens of thousands of biometric data of riders of different heights. The lengths of the frame tubes and their mutual angles are designed to create the ideal frame geometry for each body height.

Another original and especially practical solution is the perfectly hidden wiring, but easily accessible and runs under the protective cover of the lower frame tube and chainstay. It also serves as frame protection against flying stones.

Ghost Lector is an XC/marathon special for demanding and ambitious riders. The modern design of the carbon frame with perfect SuperFit® geometry allows fast descents, efficiency in climbs, phenomenal acceleration and maximum power transfer to forward movement.

Level and quality of equipment

Regular and longer rides

Especially suitable for sports enthusiasts who like to spend time on wheels after work or over the weekend. Suitable for regular riding, from cycle paths, fields and forest roads to moderately demanding terrain. Usually fitted with components that are the golden middle when it comes to reliability and durability.

Carbon frame

Lightweight, stiff and at the same time still flexible material that absorbs shocks well and increases comfort. A higher price is to be expected.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Reliable in all conditions, better modulation of the braking effect with the use of less force on the lever. Heavier weight, more demanding service.

Air fork

The best option in terms of weight and comfort. Provides more adjustment options (rebound, compression). Requires regular service - the service cycle is specified by the manufacturer.

29” wheels

The advantage is better terrain passability, better rolling and traction. However, they are heavier, which also applies to tires.

How we ship bikes

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:

The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
If you order a bicycle for in store pickup or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
7. Inflate the tires or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
