It was 7. May 1994, when competitors gathered in Tábor for the start of the 49th. of the famous Peace Race to cover a distance of 1,354 km in nine stages between Tábor and Turnov. For this thirtieth anniversary of the Tábor start, we created a limited edition of jerseys in a retro design made of functional merino material. A white dove patch, a short zipper, a woolen knit - these are the features that at least partially revive the legacy of the largest amateur cycling race in Eastern Europe, once nicknamed the Tour de France of the East. - During production, we used a short, robust zipper, which gives the jersey a stylish retro touch.
- The jersey is made in a fitted cut in our standard sizes corresponding to the Elite and Motion collections.
- The reference to the Peace Race is most reminiscent of the imitation of the white dove patch, which was the symbol of this race for decades.
- This fine merino wool is an extremely versatile material that offers a wide range of functional properties. Thanks to its thermoregulatory ability, it creates an ideal microclimate on the body, allowing it to stay warm in winter and cool in summer. At the same time, it can effectively wick away sweat while maintaining dryness and thermoregulatory function. Wool is also antibacterial, protects against UV radiation, and is naturally elastic due to the structure of its fibers, which can stretch by up to 30% and return to its original shape. It maintains its properties even after repeated wear, making it an ideal material for comfortable clothing.
