We set out to create the perfect winter cycling jacket – our sole aim was to make the best jacket we could, using the best materials and innovative construction that would ensure comfort in the widest range of conditions, including cold and wet. The Alpha 150 is the result of 12 years of continuous improvement of a concept that keeps you warm and dry, indoors and out.
New for 2025, the Alpha 150 jacket now uses Castelli's exclusive Polartec® AirCore™ fabric for unmatched breathability in the wind and rain resistant category. Polartec Alpha internal insulation provides warmth while improving moisture wicking. The elastic, snug fit means you won't even feel like you're wearing a full-fledged winter jacket.
This jacket is ideal for cool, dry days, but it can withstand anything except all-day heavy rain, when you'll probably reach for a waterproof top layer. The fact that it uses recycled yarns and is PFAS-free is a bonus feature of the best winter jacket we've ever made.

In 1910, their first cycling clothing was made for the world champion Alfredo Binda. They introduced to marked their aerodynamic elastic bibs made from Lycra in 1977.
