Nothing mega, The reason I give 5/5 is that I recently scraped myself on asphalt, broke my thigh and shoulder, but the gates held up, without a single sign of damage. I also did longer rides (200km plus) and it was fine. It's not as soft as some people praise here, but certainly nothing I could be unhappy with.
