or would ACID MTB 75 ST-Mount 2.0 fender set, 29" be more suitable

Dobrý deň, záleží aj od konkrétneho modelu plášťov - výšky dezénu a reálneho objemu (pri rovnakých "papierových" šírkach to medzi výrobcami niekedy varíruje). Každopádne 2.40" plášte s nižším dezénom by ešte mohli s blatníkmi vo všeobecnosti spolupracovať ok.

Hello, the main difference between the ACID MTB 65 ST-Mount 2.0 and BB-Mount 2.0 mudguards lies in their rear mounting location and design: the ST-Mount uses a short, seat-tube-mounted adapter, whereas the BB-Mount fixes to the bottom bracket.
