Garmin Edge 830 cycling computer

It shares the functional equipment with the model from the Edge 530 series, in addition it offers intuitive control via the touch screen. The proven functions and equipment in the new generation of cycle computers from the Edge 830 series are complemented by dynamic monitoring of cycling metrics in order to motivate you to perform even better. Monitor, for example, how changes in air temperature and altitude affect your performance and how many meters of altitude remain before the top of the climb. For reliable navigation, it comes with a pre-installed > cycle map of Europe and related navigation functions* for both road and mountain cycling.

The refined version offers support for advanced cycling metrics and now also support for relevant metrics for MTB. When riding off-road, it records the total number of jumps, jump distance and the related HANGTIME.GRIT will measure the difficulty of each ride. FLOW metric will monitor the smoothness of the descent and then evaluate the ride with a point score that you can try to improve on the next ride.

Controlling and setting the device simply by touching the finger - by tapping or dragging on the display with the support of control even when wearing gloves. The touch control is complemented by buttons, e.g. for instant start and pause recording
Resistant to rain, snow, sweat
The device is compatible with optional external HRM-Dual sensors, speed & cadence sensors and Vector™. Compatible with the practical Edge Remote, which connects via ANT+. You can also use this interface and the Edge 830 as a remote control for the Virb Ultra 30 & Virb 360 action camera
The universal ANT+ interface allows you to connect the Edge 830 with accessories from various manufacturers and thus make the most of the smart functionality it offers. For example, you can benefit from connecting a cycle computer and electronic gear shifting - SRAM RED eTAP, Campagnolo EPS and Shimano Di2, or using the Edge 830 in combination with stationary bikes (exercise bikes) and much more
Can also be expanded with additional accessories from the Varia™ series, which contribute to active safety
The power supply is provided by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a duration of up to 20 hours, depending on the setting and use. For long drives, a battery-saving mode is available, which extends the battery life up to 40 hours
Integrated receiver with support for simultaneous signal reception from GPS+GLONASS systems (adjustable)
The pre-installed Cycle Map of Europe is in internal memory, with full support for automatic calculation of routes for navigation (auto routing) directly in the device, searching for points of interest and other functions, e.g. the calculation of the circuit route after entering the parameters
