The Restrap Switch Rack represents a revolution in bikepacking and cycle touring. This is a lightweight, minimalist and highly versatile rear rack that mounts directly to the thru-axle of your bike. Thanks to the modular "Switch" system, you can customize the carrier exactly to your needs - whether for short trips or large expeditions.
Main features:
- High load capacity and low weight: The carrier weighs only 395 g (without axle), but thanks to its robust aluminum alloy construction, it has a load capacity of up to 30 kg (according to ISO standard).
- Easy assembly: Attaches to the bike using a special fixed axle (included) and a nylon strap with Velcro (25 mm) to the seat post, allowing for quick installation without the need for mounting holes on the frame.
- Maximum modularity: Both the rack legs and top bar feature mounting points spaced 64mm apart (bottle cage standard), allowing you to attach Restrap Switch Panniers, Switch Rack Cages or any other compatible accessory.
- Quick Flip System: Allows you to rotate the top of the carrier to provide maximum wheel space regardless of frame or tire size.
- Universal compatibility: Designed for frames with a 12mm thru axle and a hub width of 142mm or 148mm (Boost). Also compatible with UDH and SRAM Transmission systems (when using adapters).
- Material: High quality aluminum alloy (axles made of 7075-T6 aluminum).
- Weight: 395 g (carrier only) / 485 g (including axle and screws).
- Maximum load: 30 kg (distributed: 10 kg on top, 10 kg on each side).
- Axle thread options: 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm or 1.75 mm (choose according to your bike).
- Wheel compatibility: Suitable for gravel, road and MTB bikes without full suspension frames.
Only for bikes with 12 mm thru axle.
Not intended for full-suspension bicycles.
Before purchasing, check the thread pitch of your current axle.
Bikes with a UDH dropout require the Restrap Switch UDH adapter.
SRAM Transmission/T-Type (Direct Mount) derailleurs require a Restrap Switch Full Mount adapter.
