Garmin Varia™ RTL 515 Radar

The third generation of the Varia™ cycle radar for safer riding on the roads. While riding, it actively alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind and at the same moment starts to signal your presence on the road to the approaching vehicle. The rear safety (red) LED light will ensure sufficient visibility, and the approaching vehicle will alert you to your presence by changing the intensity of the light (flashing). A solution for better safety of cyclists when riding on normal roads, where there are frequent accidents caused by rear-end collisions. It can register and warn the rider of approaching vehicles from a distance of up to 140 meters. As part of the setting, the connected unit triggers an alarm (sound warning) immediately after the vehicle is registered. It also recognizes the speed of the vehicle and if it approaches too fast, the display turns red and the reverse LED light changes (increases) the intensity (flashing).
