Kompletne prepracovaný dvojkomorový tlmič X2 je absolútnym míľnikom na trhu tlmičov.
Vďaka samostatne nastaviteľným úrovniam odskoku a kompresie v rozsahu vysokých a nízkych rýchlostí, je tento tlmič možné prispôsobiť širokej škále zjazdových tratí, aby vám ponúkol výkon, ktorý ste nikdy predtým nezažili.
U predchádzajúceho modelu bola vzduchová komora už optimalizovaná tak, aby mohla byť naplnená maximálnym tlakom vzduchu 300 PSI. To znižuje riziko poškodenia pri extrémnych skokoch. Ďalej bola zmenená konštrukcia ventilu, aby sa zabránilo strate vzduchu pri nafukovaní. Nové tesnenie s nízkym trením a optimalizácia vnútornej konštrukcie pre väčšiu torznú tuhosť tiež zlepšujú už tak citlivé správanie.
Malá expanzná nádržka umožňuje jednoduchšiu integráciu tlmiča do rôznych rámových konštrukcií.
Tlmiaci systém GRIP2 prevzatý z odpružených vidlíc umožňuje optimálne nastavenie.
EVOL
Vzduchová komora s názvom EVOL so zvýšeným objemom pre negatívnu vzduchovú komoru. EVOL znamená „Extra Volume“. Toto nastavenie by malo mať tiež pozitívny vplyv na kvalitu odpruženia znížením odtrhovacieho momentu tlmiča. To vedie k lepšej trakcii a mäkšej odozve. Zároveň je možné mierne zdvihnúť charakteristickú krivku v strednom rozsahu zdvihu, ktorá sa stáva lineárnejšou.
Variabilné ovládanie ventilov (VVC)
Fox do tohto tlmenia vložil všetky svoje znalosti. Na základe tlmiča GRIP2 odpružených vidlíc je možné samostatne nastaviť kompresiu pri vysokej a nízkej rýchlosti a odskok pri vysokej a nízkej rýchlosti. Nastavenie musí byť vykonané opatrne, ale potom ponúka nekonečnú zábavu z jazdy na akomkoľvek povrchu.
So systémom integrovaného ovládania premenných ventilov (VVC) sa citlivosť vysokorýchlostného odskoku mení pomocou listovej pružiny, nie zmenou predpätia. To vyžaduje jemne odmeranú funkciu a úpravu.
Okrem toho bola v priebehu celého procesu vývoja venovaná pozornosť použitiu materiálov s nízkym trením. To umožňuje veľmi jemnú odozvu a výrazne zvyšuje komfort.

KASHIMA COAT
Povrchová úprava Kashima pre hladký zážitok z jazdy je k dispozícii výhradne u spoločnosti FOX. Ponúka vynikajúci celkový výkon, zaisťuje minimálne trenie a optimálnu odozvu s maximálnou odolnosťou.
