This sleek jacket provides ultimate waterproof protection with an elastic fit for comfort and aerodynamic performance. Enough protection and breathability to wear it all day, but it looks good on any ride or meeting friends in a cafe. This jacket does three things very well: the Tempesta Stretch material provides full waterproof protection, the four-way stretch makes it ideal for almost any body type, and it looks great on and off the bike. Compared to more expensive Idro jackets made of GORE-TEX®, you give up best-in-class breathability and extreme fit, but you get a comfortable fit thanks to elasticity and increased durability. The fabric was developed at Castelli, to their own specifications, to create a jacket that is fully waterproof, comfortably stretchy, packable enough to fit in a jersey pocket and designed to look great. It was supposed to be mainly a rain jacket that is worn over the jersey, so they ditched the outer pockets and kept the construction simple to minimize the number of seams. They've added ventilation on the back to prevent overheating, a zip cover to prevent splashes from getting in, and a reflective surface for your safety.
