In collaboration with the Ineos Grenadiers team, Castelli decided to create the best seamless arm warmers. Others available on the market are made from a nylon/Lycra® blend, which tends to retain moisture. Better moisture regulation can be achieved using polyester yarn. However, working with polyester makes it difficult to get the right elasticity and compression of the knit. It took a year longer than they planned, but it was worth it. These sleeves have become popular with riders because they are extremely light and warm, yet won't cause you to overheat in milder conditions. They're so flexible you can barely feel them, but when folded, they take up a fraction of the space you'd normally need to store in your pocket.
