Fox Air Shaft 38 Float Glidecore (2027+) - 180mm is the original air spring for the new generation FOX 38 forks with Glidecore technology, designed for a complete change or restoration of the travel to 180 mm. It brings the latest evolution of air suspension with significantly reduced friction, thereby improving sensitivity to micro-unevenness, maintaining bike geometry, and ensuring smooth operation throughout the ride.
The redesigned seal system and optimized air transfer between the positive and negative chambers provide a buttery smooth start to the travel, stable support in the mid-stroke during aggressive braking, and a smoother ramp-up towards the end of the travel. The precisely machined construction from lightweight aluminum alloy with high surface precision guarantees stiffness and reliability even under prolonged load, while optimized air dynamics contribute to better thermal stability of the system.
This component is exclusively intended for the new FOX 38 chassis with Glidecore technology from model year 2027+ and is not backward compatible with older Float EVOL air chambers. Installation requires advanced mechanical skills, specific service tools, and the use of original lubricant in a precisely specified amount to prevent damage to the internal parts of the fork and ensure the flawless operation of the air system.
