There are many ways to interpret something that has become a different way to enjoy cycling. For some, it represents an opportunity to test themselves, for others, it is an alternative choice that offers a world of new possibilities. All this and more is represented by the B-Road or "gravel" Rapid Red 5 DB wheels, designed and developed by FULCRUM precisely for this type of riding.
In developing the Rapid Red 5 DB wheels, FULCRUM's R&D department combined all the experience and technical knowledge gained from creating bikes for competitive cycling and used it as a basis to design a model for use on anything other than asphalt. Unpaved roads, paths, and dirt roads require a wider internal channel – in this case, 23 mm – with a low, extremely durable 24 mm rim that absorbs shocks and provides excellent riding comfort, regardless of the stress it is subjected to.
The wheel profile allows for tubeless tire mounting with sizes ranging from 30 to 46 mm, with a wide range of settings that can be adjusted according to the type of surface. The sturdy aluminum hub rests on 24 straight-pull spokes, ideal for tackling uneven terrain and withstanding the slightly higher weight of a road-ready bike.
