Shimano SH-MW702 winter cycling shoes, black

These winter cycling shoes are an absolute hit for me! I no longer have to deal with impractical socks and my feet are still warm and dry. The comfort is really high, it reminds me of cross-country skiing shoes. There is enough space for a thicker sock, which is invaluable in cold weather. If you are looking for reliable shoes for winter cycling, I can only recommend these shoes.

Tieto zimné cyklistické tretry sú pre mňa absolútnym hitom! Už nemusím riešiť nepraktické návleky a napriek tomu mám nohy v teple a suchu. Komfort je naozaj na vysokej úrovni, pripomína mi to bežkárské topánky. Je v nich dostatok miesta aj na hrubšiu ponožku, čo je v chladnom počasí k nezaplateniu. Ak hľadáš spoľahlivú obuv na zimnú cyklistiku, môžem tieto tretry len odporučiť.

Spokojnosť. Keď som jazdil prvú zimu, prišlo mi, že som chlad ani necítil. Túto som už pri mínuse pociťoval trošku chlad na prsty, ale možno je to subjektívne vnímanie. Určite lepší variant ako návleky. Číslo som musel brať o jedno väčšie, potom už bolo všetko OK.

The shoes are a bit wider, which suits me perfectly. They fit nicely even with thick socks. My feet sweat a bit at the top, but maybe it's the socks I'm trying now. Otherwise, the workmanship and price/performance ratio are absolutely nothing to complain about

tretry jsou lece sirsi, coz mi naprosto vyhovuje. Krasne se vejdu i s tlustci ponozkou. Ve spicce se mi trochu poti noha, ale mozna je to ponozkama, ktere ted zkousim. Jinak zpracovani a pomeru cena/vykon neni naprosto co vytknout

Finally I don't have to fight with the covers. It's a classic SHIMANO size. A 41 fits my 40 foot. I also praise the slightly wider design, they obviously thought about using a thicker sock.

Konečne nemusím bojovať s návlekmi. Je to klasická veľkosť SHIMANO. Na nohu 40 mi sedí 41. Chválim aj trošku širšie prevedenie, zjavne mysleli aj na použitie hrubšej ponožky.

Nič lepšie som za posledné obdobie k bajku nekupil, škoda, že som tak dlho vahal, sú pohodlné, aj v minusovych teplotach nohy bez pocitu chladu, ľahko sa obuvaju, proste TOP

I've been riding them for the first winter.....unfortunately I damaged one of my shoes a little after a fall....but otherwise they work as they should and I can withstand a ride of more than an hour around 00.

Amazing shoes. Tested while riding in melting snow, water, mud. I recommend buying quality socks to go with them.

Uzasne boty. Vyskusane pocas jazdy v topiacom sa snehu vode , blate. Odporucam kupit do nich kvalitne ponozky.

They are ok for temperatures around 0°C and a two-hour trip. I wear a regular shoe size 46 and the sneakers also fit me in a size 46.

Na teploty okolo 0°C a dvojhodinovy výjazd sú ok. Bežnú obuv nosím 46 a tretry mi sadli tiez 46.

Around zero after an hour of brisk riding (15+) my toes are cold. Hopefully merino socks will save it.
I don't have thick legs, but it's a problem to stretch and grab the zipper around the boa and ankle... otherwise, take the pants outside if possible.

As for the quality or use of the cleats, I have no problem with them. However, as for thermal comfort, I did not feel any better thermal comfort compared to classic summer cleats with 2x socks and gaiters. However, I must point out that I am probably quite sensitive to the cold with my limbs compared to other individuals. After about 1 hour on the road at an average of 29-30 km/h, my feet are already cold and after about 1.5 hours of riding, my feet are already unpleasantly frozen (MTB is slower riding, detto). My winter riding was saved by disposable heating bags from Decathlon, with which I can easily last over two hours. Therefore, I would advise those who are thinking about buying them to try using summer cleats first, good socks, gaiters and heaters.

Čo sa týka kvality alebo užívania tretier nemám s nimi problém. Čo sa týka ale tepelného komfortu tak ja som oproti klasickým letným tretrám spolu s 2x ponožkami a návlekmi lepšiu tepelnú pohodu až tak nepocítil. Musím ale upozorniť že asi som dosť citlivý s mojimi končatinami na chlad oproti iným jedincom. Po cca 1 hod na cesťáku pri priemerke 29-30 km/h mi už je zima na nohy a po cca 1,5 hod jazde už mám nohy nepríjemne zmrznuté (MTB pomalšia jazda detto). Moje zimné jazdenie zachránili až jednorázové ohrievacie vrecúška z Decathlonu s ktorými viem vydržať kľudne cez dve hodiny. Preto by som tím ktorý rozmýšľajú nad kúpou poradil skúsiť použiť najprv letné tretry, dobré ponožky, návleky a ohrievače.

I can't stand the cold on my extremities, when using a thick merino sock + a thin summer sock below -3, I had to put a neoprene cover on the toe. Probably the ideal use is 0-10 degrees. For greater minuses, you need 2 sizes bigger for two merinos. My Sphyre summer shoes are size 44, I also put these in 44, but for frosts 45 would be better. I have a narrow foot (10 cm) and there really isn't much room for my toes with a thick sock. I don't know why everyone puts that neoprene on the ankle, it doesn't breathe, the ankle sweats and the moisture can drop all the way to the heel.

na končatinách znášam chlad zle, pri použití pod -3 merino hrubá ponožka+tenká letná som už musel dať aj neoprénový návlek na špičku. Asi ideálne použitie je 0-10st. Do väčších mínusov treba o 2čísla väčšie na dvoje merino. Letné tretry Sphyre mám veľkosť 44, tieto som dal tiež 44, ale do mrazov by boli lepšie 45. Mám úzke chodidlo (10 cm) a veru veľa miesta na prsty tam s hrubou ponožkou nie je. Ten neoprén na členku neviem načo všetci dávajú, nedýcha to, členok sa spotí a vlhkosť môže klesnúť až na pätu.
