The lightest, fastest, most breathable jacket, great for high-intensity riding or maintaining the right temperature in cool conditions. Non-membrane with Polartec® Alpha® insulation.This is a jacket for fast riding on those days when it's too warm for a jacket and too cool for a jersey. Normally you might wear a vest and arm warmers on such a day, but this jacket does it better. Instead of blocking all the wind, the stretch fabric lets a small amount of air pass through. At the same time, it blocks enough air so you don't get chilled. The outer fabric works with the Polartec® Alpha® insulation in key areas.
The jacket has an aerodynamic, close-fitting cut. Not that you need aerodynamics in winter, but at Castelli we firmly believe that speed is fun. The close fit also makes it warmer than minimalist fabrics would normally allow. Other features are strictly rider-focused: the easy-sliding YKK® Vislon® zipper allows for one-handed ventilation. Three rear pockets provide plenty of space for whatever you need on long rides. It's cut short so it doesn't flap unnecessarily front or back. Reflective details help you be seen. The fabric has a water-repellent finish to protect from road spray and brief showers.
