GT Grade Carbon Pro 28 Bike

More comfortable, versatile and adjustable than ever before. With a new look and an efficient redesign of the iconic Triple Triangle, the new GT Grade is designed for longer and faster rides on a wide variety of surfaces.

The new GT Grade model features a completely redesigned Triple Triangle frame with floating seat stays compared to the original model. This solution, thanks to greater vertical compliance, increases comfort during all-day rides in varied terrain.

The front fork is equipped with flip chip technology and allows changing the geometry of the bike to the terrain by changing the position of the front axle, choosing between increased stability or sharper steering. The axle can be moved by 15 mm, increasing the fork offset from 55 mm to 70 mm. The smaller offset is ideal for regular riding, while the 70 mm offset is useful when the bike is fully loaded with bikepacking bags.

The seat stays are made from a blend of lightweight carbon and glass fibers. The massive glass fiber core provides toughness and damping capabilities. The outer layer of carbon fiber increases stiffness. GT calls this combination Dual Fiber Dynamics. Riders thus ride a bike that increases control and reduces fatigue.

For long journeys and endless adventures, the Grade is equipped with mounting points on the fork and frame. You can attach a handlebar bag to the top tube, there are points for "bottle cages" on the fork, and alloy frames have mounting points for bottles on the seat stays!

An important parameter is also tire clearance. The Grade follows current trends by equipping bikes with 37 mm wide tires, which is a good compromise for road and gravel riding. However, the bike can accommodate tires up to 42 mm for true off-road adventures.

The Grade model is constructed with ease of service in mind and follows the brand's philosophy. The cable routing for shifting and brakes is external to the frame. Di2 and dropper posts, which are not expected to be frequently replaced or serviced, have internal routing for a clean frame appearance. The Grade also has no proprietary components, so riders can easily customize the bike according to their preferences.

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:
  1. The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
  2. The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
  3. The bicycle is carefully packaged back into a box and shipped
  4. If you order a bike for in-person pick-up or home delivery, the bike will be waiting for you assembled and checked
  5. If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
    1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
    2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
    3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
    4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
    5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
    6. Mount seat post to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
    7. Inflate the tires or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
    8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
    9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.

This Californian brand has been designing and manufacturing bikes since 1972. They are one of the pioneers in the MTB discipline. Their framesets are easily recognisable thanks to their strict policy of three frameset triangles. GT's offer focuses essentially on bikes for unconsolidated terrain, which was their speciality from the start.
