WARNING
- Before riding the bicycle, check that the wheels are securely fastened. If the wheels are loose in any way, they may come off the bicycle and a serious accident may result.
- Do not use for downhill riding, otherwise the wheel may bend or become damaged and an accident may result.
- Before use, check the wheels to be sure that there are no bent or loose spokes, dents, scratches or cracks on the rim surface. If any of these problems are found, do not use the wheel. The wheel may break and you may fall. In the case of carbon wheels, check that there is no peeling or cracking of the carbon.
- These wheels are designed exclusively for use with disc brakes. Do not use these wheels with rim brakes.
- After carefully reading the user's manual, store it in a safe place for future reference.
F15 wheel (front, 15 mm axle), R12 (rear 12 mm axle)
- This wheel has been designed for downhill bicycle riding and freeriding. Therefore, depending on the riding conditions, cracks may develop in the hub axle, which may result in hub axle failure. This could lead to an accident which could result in serious injury or even death. Before riding, you should carefully inspect the hubs to be sure that there are no cracks in the axles, and if you find any sign of cracking or other unusual conditions, DO NOT use the bicycle.
- If the quick release lever is on the same side as the disc brake rotor, there is a danger of it interfering with the disc brake rotor. Check that even after tightening the quick release lever by hand with all your strength, the quick release lever does not interfere with the disc brake rotor. If the lever interferes with the disc brake rotor, stop using the wheel and consult with your dealer or agent.
- If the quick release lever is not used correctly, the wheel may come off the bicycle and a serious accident may result.
F15 wheel
- This wheel can be used in combination with a special front fork and E-Thru system. If used in combination with any other front fork or fixed axle, the wheel may become detached from the bicycle during riding, resulting in serious personal injury.
- Both the securing method and the tightening torque for the front wheel differ depending on the type of front suspension fork used. When installing the front wheel to the front suspension fork, always follow the instructions given in the Service Instructions for the front suspension fork. If the instructions are not followed, the front wheel may come off the front suspension fork and a serious accident may result.
F (front), R (rear) wheel
- If the quick release lever is on the same side as the disc brake rotor, there is a danger of it interfering with the disc brake rotor. Check that even after tightening the quick release lever by hand with all your strength, the quick release lever does not interfere with the disc brake rotor. If the lever interferes with the disc brake rotor, stop using the wheel and consult with your dealer or agent.
Wheels with tubes
- Before riding, check that the tires are securely attached to the rims. If the tires come off during riding, you may fall and a serious accident may result.
CAUTION
- Tires should be inflated to the pressure indicated on the tires before use.
- If you are using a puncture repair agent, consult with the dealer or agency.
Bedding-in period
- Disc brakes have a bedding-in period, and the braking force gradually increases as the bedding-in period progresses. Be sure to avoid any such increases in braking force when operating the brakes during the bedding-in period. The same thing happens when the brake pads or rotor are replaced.
