WARNING - Failure to follow the directions could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION - Failure to follow the directions could cause personal injury or physical damage to equipment and surroundings.
WARNING
- Before riding the bicycle, check that the wheels are securely fastened. If the wheel axle release lever / quick release lever is not used correctly, the wheel may come off and so on, and a serious accident could result from a fall.
- Tires should be inflated to the pressure rating indicated on the tires or rims before use. If a maximum pressure is indicated on the tires or rims, do not exceed the lower indicated value.
WH-M9000-TL: Maximum pressure = 2.8 bar / 41 psi / 280 kPa
WH-M9020-TL: Maximum pressure = 2.6 bar / 38 psi / 260 kPa
WH-M8000-TL: Maximum pressure = 3 bar / 44 psi / 300 kPa
WH-M8020-TL: Maximum pressure = 3 bar / 44 psi / 300 kPa
WH-M8100-TL: Maximum pressure = 3 bar / 44 psi / 300 kPa
WH-M8120-TL: Maximum pressure = 2.5 bar / 36 psi / 250 kPa
- If the pressure is higher than that which is indicated, the tire may suddenly burst and/or the tire may suddenly come off, resulting in severe injury.
- Before riding the bicycle, thoroughly check the wheels and make sure that there are no cracks in the axles; if any signs of cracking or other unusual conditions are found, do not use the bicycle. This wheel is not designed for downhill riding or freeriding. Depending on the riding conditions, the wheel axle may crack. This may lead to failure of the wheel axle, which may lead to an accident that could result in serious injury or even death.
- Before riding the bicycle, check the wheels to be sure that the spokes are not bent or loose, and that there are no scores, scratches or cracks on the rim surface. If you notice any of these problems, do not use the wheel. The wheel may break and you may fall. Check that there is no carbon separation or cracking.
- Do not use with rim brakes. These wheels are designed exclusively for use with disc brakes. They are not compatible with rim brakes.
- Be sure to keep the instruction manual in a safe place for later reference after reading it thoroughly.
E-THRU hub axle type wheel
- Check that the axle release lever does not interfere with the disc brake rotor even after the axle release lever has been securely tightened. If the axle release lever is on the same side as the disc brake rotor, there is a danger that they will interfere with each other. If it interferes with the disc brake rotor, stop using it and consult the place of purchase or a distributor.
- Check how to use the axle release lever. If the axle release lever is not used correctly, the wheel may come off the bicycle, and serious injury could result.
F15 E-THRU hub axle type wheel
- This wheel can be used in combination with a special front fork and E-THRU. If used in combination with any other front fork or hub axle, the wheel may become detached from the bicycle during riding, and serious personal injury may result.
- When installing the front wheel to the front suspension fork, always follow the instructions in the service manual for the front suspension fork. The securing method as well as the tightening torque for the front wheel differ depending on the type of front suspension fork used. If the instructions are not followed, the front wheel may come off of the front suspension fork, and serious injury may result.
Quick release type wheel
- Check that the quick release lever does not interfere with the disc brake rotor even after the quick release lever has been tightened to the maximum extent by hand. If the quick release lever is on the same side as the disc brake rotor, there is a danger that it will interfere with the disc brake rotor. If it interferes with the disc brake rotor, stop using it and consult the place of purchase or a distributor.
CAUTION
- Tires should be inflated to the pressure rating indicated on the tires before use.
- If using a puncture repair agent, consult the dealer or agency.
Break-in period
- Disc brakes have a break-in period, and the braking force gradually increases as the break-in period continues. Make sure that you are aware of any such increases in braking force when using the brakes during the break-in period. The same thing happens when the brake pads or rotor are replaced.
