Mavic CrossMax XL Disc INTL 29" MTB braided wheels WTS 2015
A specially designed model for Enduro (and they have wider and heavier tires) has created a lot of interest among hobby riders who cruise up and down the terrain, but do not want to race. It is for them that Mavic offers the new CROSSMAX XL. The wheels are in all sizes 26 ", 27.5" and 29 "and have newly constructed tubeless tires that have a universal pattern, are lighter and thus allow easy exits uphill. The wheels are so universal for MTB marathons.
The strength of the wheels is ensured by the new construction (profile) of the rim. The rim is wider, higher, stronger, but its weight is just as low as the existing models. The rim profile is lightened where there is excess material. It is processed with a specially modified profile cutter so that all edges are rounded. Both wheels have 24 light Alu-Zicral spokes, which have the same strength as steel! This ensures perfect suspension, comfort and braking safety when driving downhill. The wheels are universal and compatible with all types of front and rear forks and frames. The wheels are delivered including tubeless tires (in which there is a classic tube for transport and handling in stores). This is removed before assembly, a tubeless valve is installed and Tire Sealnt latex sealant is poured (you can also use other latex-based sealants) and the wheels are inflated to the required pressure. Of course, the wheels are also compatible with all classic inner tubes and tubeless tires on the market. Mavic's WTS system is the only one in the world that prefers the development and production of braided wheels as a single unit, including tires. The team of test rider engineers thus develops tires that respond precisely to the characteristics of the tangled wheels.
Special Enduro universal tires Crossmax QUEST with soft Contact Compound and anti-puncture Guard + layer are mounted on the wheels.
