Pirelli has created a tire design that combines know-how under the name armor tech ™ with features developed for use in MTB terrain. Construction and its components
they have properties that make it possible to resist damage (eg piercing with sharp objects or stones): the added layer of highly cut-resistant material covers the surface from heel to heel and at the same time does not reduce the rolling efficiency and quality of the tire. The result is the possibility of use on lighter gravel substrates as well as in difficult terrain conditions.

SpeedGRIP
Pirelli has created its own rubber compound, which enables better performance and energy transfer with less effort when driving on asphalt, gravel or more aggressive terrain. The SpeedGRIP compound achieves the same durability as its MTB sibling (SmartGRIP) as well as an equally high level of wet grip and allows more efficient energy transfer to reduce rolling resistance to a level similar to a purely racing road tire. This high-tech rubber compound is a product of experience gained from the world of off-road racing circuits around the world, where Pirelli has a stable place on 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles.
The result is a mixture with two diametrically different characteristics:
• cut resistance: maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions with better durability and puncture resistance
• Chemical grip: safety and control in all weathers and on any wet surface, on the road or in the field

TPI (EPI)- hustota vlákien kostry plášťa. Čím vyššia hodnota TPI, tým flexibilnejší a pružnejší bude plášť.
