Pirelli Scorpion™ Trail S 29x2.4 ProWALL TLR tire, kevlar
As the name suggests, the Pirelli Scorpion Trail tires are designed for tracking.
They use a SmartGRIP rubber compound developed by Pirelli, which provides good dry and wet grip and puncture protection. On the Scorpion Trail, you can rely on your local trails as well as mountain trips. Thanks to their reliability and long-lasting driving performance, you can fully concentrate on driving and not solve the equipment you use.
The Pirelli Scorpion Trail S has a high block profile and a large distance between them to penetrate any loose and soft surface, dry or in mud. The best choice for an aggressive style of driving on trails, where the types of terrain and terrain change. The casing also provides a high level of reliability and long life.
Casing features:
• SmartGRIP rubber compound - increased defect resistance and excellent tire adhesion in both dry and wet conditions throughout its life
• Braid - multilayer nylon braid with a density of 60tpi for greater reliability and better handling
• ProWALL construction - protective reinforcement of the sides for better puncture resistance
• Tubeless Ready - tubeless use with easy installation and durable heels
SmartGRIP
The top rubber compound, which is the result of Pirelli's many years of experience in off-road racing circuits around the world for 2 and 4 wheels. It is characterized by two diametrically opposed properties:
• cut resistance: guarantees maximum mechanical grip and grip in dry conditions and higher puncture resistance along with longer life
• wet grip: no need to think about changing conditions, raining or muddy and slippery sections on the track
The result is a longer service life of the tire, which not only has excellent grip and traction in adverse conditions such as dry and wet, but also maintains these driving characteristics throughout the wear period. Unlike multi-compound mixes (two or three), the single-mix SmartGRIP composition allows for balanced driving characteristics throughout its life. The greater mechanical resistance of the rubber also provides greater resistance not only to wear but also to puncture, so it is necessary to exert more force to cut or puncture the casing.
ProWALL
Casing side reinforcement technology for greater puncture resistance and more stable expression when using low air pressures in the casing. The added layer of nylon fabric over the sidewall braid not only increases resistance to cuts and snaps, but also improves the overall cornering behavior of the tire, allowing for better bike control and more precise tracking. These features have been achieved without limiting tire weight and pedaling power transfer efficiency, so tires with this technology are ideal for use in XC racing applications up to aggressive Trail riding when fitted with a suitable skeleton (120tpi and 60tpi, respectively).
Pirelli
The world-famous Italian manufacturer, which was established in 1872. It focuses on the production of tires for cars, motorcycles and, since 2018, bicycles. It is the exclusive supplier of tires for Formula 1.

PSI - indicates the pressure to which the manufacturer recommends inflating the tire. 1 atmosphere = 14.7 PSI
TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire- bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
