Inner tubes for mountain bicycles

When choosing the right inner tube for a mountain bike, factors such as tire size, valve type and riding conditions must be considered. Here are the steps to help you choose:

  • Select valve type: Mountain bike inner tubes usually come with Presta or Schrader valves. Select an inner tube with a valve type that matches the rims of your bike.
  • Consider the tube material: Most mountain bike tubes are made of butyl rubber, which is durable and affordable. If you're looking for a lighter option, consider latex inner tubes. Keep in mind that latex tubes may require more frequent inflation.
  • Puncture resistance: If you often ride in rough terrain, consider inner tubes with additional puncture resistance.
