GREEN COMPOUND: puncture protection with recycled natural rubber. GreenGuard is the designation for the 3mm thick green safety strip made from special India rubber. Highly elastic and partly made from recycled material, it is also used in Germany's best-selling tire, the Schwalbe Marathon.



WHY USE RECYCLED MATERIAL?

Recycling rubber materials and using renewable raw materials to a greater extent saves a lot of energy and reduces resource consumption in tire production.



WHY DOES SCHWALBE NOT USE GREEN COMPOUND FOR ALL TIRES?

We are working on using more recycled and renewable raw materials in our compounds in the future. But it is not yet possible to produce high-quality compounds for every purpose from these new materials. Green Compound perfectly meets the requirements we have for our Active line of tires, such as the proven and popular Road Cruiser.

TPI (EPI) - the density of the shell's skeleton fibres. The higher the TPI value, the more flexible and flexible the tire will be.
Kevlar tire - foot made of Kevlar fibres. The cover can be folded, so it is more practical when moving or storing. It is characterized by a lower weight compared to wire casings and a higher resistance to puncture.
Wire tire - bead made of wire. The shell is inflexible, it is heavier than the Kevlar one.
