I replaced the Schwalbe Rocket Ron on the rear wheel of my MTB with Hurricane. I was very pleasantly surprised by the speed on asphalt. I would say that I go about 10% faster. I easily overtake mountain bikes. I still don't get on the roads, but that's probably mainly due to the aerodynamics of the bike. In the off-road, it's also fine, as long as I don't ride on snow, mud or wet grass.

What surprised me was that when testing different pressures from 1.8 to 3 BAR, I did not notice any difference in the speed of the bike. So you don't necessarily need to pressurize these tires to go fast. The minimum recommended pressure is enough for me (my weight is 62 kg).

What is much worse, however, is braking. The braking distance is longer and the tires squeak and smear unpleasantly during hard braking. For this reason, I prefer to keep the tires only on the rear wheel. I kept the Rocket Ron in the front.

Názov: Na nahodenie potrebujete dielňu, kompresor a kýbel mydla. V lese nerealizovateľné.

Bicyklujem skôr, ako som sa naučil chodiť, rukami mi prešli desiatky plášťov, ale toto som ešte nezažil. Samotný MTBIKER je v tom nevinne (objednávka aj doručenie top), toto je čistá vizitka konštrukcie plášťa od Schwalbe.

Kúpil som verziu 26" aj 27.5" a obe majú rovnaký problém – nahodiť ich na ráfik tak, aby pätka správne zaskočila, je čisté utrpenie. Skončil som v servise pri poriadnom kompresore, minul som polovicu mydla na premazanie pätiek a až pod vysokým tlakom to tam konečne sadlo.

Predstava, že dostanem defekt niekde hlboko v hore a mám tento plášť nahadzovať znova s minipumpou a bez lubrikácie, je nereálna. Drôtená pätka je v tomto prípade extrémne nepoddajná a tvrdá. Za mňa – jazdné vlastnosti môžu byť fajn, ale kvôli tejto montáži hovorím: už nikdy viac.
