Maxxis Assegai 27.5"x 2.50" WT EXO TR DC tire

A new tire called Assegai. Even Greg Minnaar, three-time world champion, three-time overall world cup winner and legend of this sport, collaborated on the development of the new pattern. "My idea was to design a tire that reflects the iconic designs of the Maxxis brand," says Greg Minnaar. "I started in the middle of the sample with a combination of Minion DHF and Minion DHR II. The reason was that the DHF rolls well and gives confidence on hard ground, corners, wet roots and stones. The DHR II added speed and aggressiveness when braking. Later, I added extra teeth to get a better wheel expression under load and a consistent feel all the way to the side lugs. I can't even forget my favourite tire - the High Roller. Together with the experts at Maxxis, we created redesigned side thread that have very similar characteristics to the original. But with the new support, they are also excellent when turning on flat ground. Finally, I took the tread height from the Shorty. As the threads are well supported, the additional height can bite into the ground in dry and dusty conditions."

SK Super plast na zadne koleso. Mozno nebrzdi uplne tak ako DHR 2, ale stale velmi dobre. Ale ma stuple aj medzi stredom a bokom, takze pri naklaneni drzi stopu lepsie.

SK Dobrý deň, chcel by som sa opýtať, ci je možné použiť tento plast s označením WT (s odporúčaniu vnútornou šírkou rafika 30-35mm) použiť na rafik “Bontrager Line 40, Tubeless Ready, 28-hole, 40 mm width, Presta valve”. Momentálne tam mám obuté plášte s rozmerom 2.8 a a chcel by som niečo užšie. Je to vôbec možné? Ďakujem za odpoveď

SK Dobrý deň,

odpoviem z vlastnej skúsenosti - tiež som na 40 mm ráfe prechádzal z plášťov v šírke 2.80" (Nobby Nic) na 2.50" Maxxis a bolo to úplne bez problémov Tvar plášťa po nasadení bol stále výborný, funkčne s tým nebol žiadny problém.

SK Dobrý večer prajem,

nezáleží až tak veľmi od šírky plášťa ako od šírky ráfiku - vložka totiž nemá vypĺňať celý objem plášťa, ale má chrániť práve ráfik. M-ko je vhodné podľa špecifikácie výrobcu pre ráfiky s vnútornou šírkou 27-38 mm, takže tipujem, že keďže zháňate plášť v šírke 2.5", tak máte aj príslušne široký ráfik a teda Váš insert Pepi"s by Vám mal sedieť
