I would compare it to the Maxxis Ikon (which is actually wider and has a 2.2 sidewall compared to 2.25 on this one). The tire has a little bit of wobble in the joint, but nothing terrible and it doesn't matter at the back. The basic Maxxis Ikon Kevlar is better in this too. It weighs 630g in real terms. Compared to the Escape model, I find the workmanship worse, see the aforementioned wobble, which the Escape has less on the trail. However, both the Peak and Escape models (both tanwall) smell a lot from the factory. So whoever has a bike in their apartment, be careful...
