Sports modes : The watch comes with pre-installed sports modes. Modes are designed for specific activities and purposes, from an outdoor walk to a triathlon race. Each sport mode has a unique set of displays and options that can be adjusted in the watch.
Using exercise goals : You can set different exercise goals on Suunto 9 Peak. If the selected sport mode allows you to set different goals, you can do so before you start recording exercises by swiping up or pressing the bottom button.
Stick to the route : In the city, it is more difficult to determine the exact location using GPS. If you choose one of the predefined routes and follow it, the watch will only use GPS to determine your position on the predefined route, not to create a new one. The recorded route will be identical to the route used for the run.
Battery life management : Suunto 9 Peak features a battery life management system that uses smart battery technology to ensure that your watch doesn't run out of battery when it's least convenient.
Swimming : You can use the Suunto 9 Peak watch while swimming in the pool or in nature. When you use the sport swimming mode in the pool, the clock uses the length of the pool to determine the swimming distance. You can change the length of the pool as needed in the sports mode options, even before you start swimming. When swimming in nature, the swimming distance is determined based on GPS. Because the GPS signal doesn't travel underwater, the watch is only able to determine its GPS position when it regularly gets out of the water, such as when freestyle swimming.
Interval training : Interval training is a common form of training. It consists of repeated sections with high and low intensity. In the Suunto 9 Peak watch, you can define your own interval training for each sport mode.
Touch screen and buttons : The Suunto 9 Peak watch has a touch screen and three buttons. With their help, you can go through the displays and functions.
Optical heart rate measurement : Optical heart rate measurement from the wrist is easy and convenient.
Exercise recording : In addition to continuous activity monitoring, you can use the watch to record exercise or other activities. This will give you accurate feedback and allow you to track your progress.
Navigation based on altitude : If you use route navigation with altitude information, you can also be navigated based on ascent and descent using the altitude profile display. From the main navigation screen (where the route is displayed), go to the altitude profile screen by swiping to the left or pressing the middle button.
Environmental information : The Suunto 9 Peak watch constantly measures the absolute air pressure using a built-in pressure sensor. Based on this measured value and the altitude reference value, they calculate the altitude or air pressure.
Sleep monitoring : A good night's sleep is important for both mental and physical health. You can use your watch to measure your sleep and track how much time you sleep on average.
