The Rab Stratosphere 4 inflatable sleeping pad is designed for three-season use and offers very good thermal comfort and, above all, increased durability. Thanks to its 8 cm height, you won't be able to easily lie down on it and it is also very suitable for side sleepers. The two side dividers are higher, which helps maintain your position on the sleeping pad. A big plus is the rectangular shape, which again increases sleeping comfort. The mattress is quiet, so you won't wake your roommates when you roll over.Internal insulation
The Rab Stratosphere 4 achieves a very decent thermal resistance of R = 3.8, making it a full-fledged sleeping pad for three-season use. Insulation from the ground is provided by the internal Stratus™ synthetic insulation, which is made from completely recycled materials for sustainability.
Sustainability
Rab, as a climate-neutral company, of course uses recycled materials in production. The outer material is recycled 75D polyester with an inner TPU layer and fluorocarbon-free DWR. The outer fabric also has a graduated print that helps keep the sleeping bag in the same position.
Easy and quick inflation
Rabu really succeeded in the valve. We can find it from the bottom of the sleeping mat on the side, it is flat and therefore does not get in the way at all. To inflate, simply open the first lid and you can inflate straight away. In this case, the air only goes into the sleeping mat in one direction (it cannot be deflated). When we want to deflate the sleeping pad, we just need to open the second lid and the air is out within a second. Blowing is surprisingly easy and fast. The package also includes a great inflatable bag. In our opinion, this is the best inflatable bag we've ever seen. It's huge, but it only weighs 71 grams. It fills with air incredibly easily, has taped seams, and can be easily turned into a full-fledged waterproof bag, which you can use, for example, as a cover for your sleeping bag. Inflate the sleeping mat for about 3 repetitions. Simple and fast, we give it 10 out of 10 points.
Great packaging
Another thing that Rabu really succeeded in doing is the perfect sleeping pad cover. It works completely differently than all traditional packaging from other manufacturers. It's basically a simple bag with an elastic hem, into which you can easily place your packed sleeping pad, and the opening is covered with a simple "lid" with integrated elastic bands. There is no packing fight going on here. The packaging is really a breeze. Inside the package you will also find a bag with a repair kit.
Dimensions
It is produced in two sizes. Regular is a standard 183 x 51 cm rectangular shape. The Large version will be used primarily by tall people thanks to its dimensions of 196 x 64 cm. Four-season variant of the Rab Stratosphere 5.5. Rab Stratosphere pillow.
