Using the Fenix ​​LD36R flashlight

There may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.

Turning on/off and switching between power and color modes - Control is provided by a rotary selector and a button. If the rotary selector is in the central locked position, turn the light on by turning it to the symbol of the desired lighting mode (W for white light or C for color). If the lighting mode is already selected on the rotary selector, hold the side button for about 0.5 seconds to turn the light on or off.

You can switch between white light output modes (W) at any time during operation by briefly pressing the button. Hold the button for 1.2 seconds to activate the strobe. Press the button again to turn off the strobe and return to the previous white light mode.

In the colored lighting mode (C), you can change the colors cyclically in the following order by short pressing the button: red - orange - pink - blue - purple - green. By holding the button for a long time, you activate a smooth color change - release the button when the desired shade is reached. A subsequent short press will switch back to the originally selected color from the 6 predefined ones.

Memory for the last set mode - The lamp always turns on in the last selected mode with the exception of strobe and continuous color change.

Lock/unlock - To prevent the lamp from being turned on accidentally, e.g. in the luggage, press the button twice quickly (the light must be off), the light will then flash and it is locked. To unlock, quickly double-press the button again. You can also lock the lamp with the rotary selector by moving it to the center position. Both locks can be combined and the lamp can be locked first with the button and then with the rotary selector. Unintended switching on can also be prevented by unlocking the lamp head.

Battery replacement - Unscrew the head of the lamp and insert the battery with the positive pole facing the head. Then tighten the lamp head completely again.

Charging - Flip up the dust cover and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port of the lamp. After charging is complete, seal the dust cap again. The normal charging time for the included ARB-L21-6000 battery is 3.5 hours with a 5 V/2.5 A USB power supply. The indicator lights red during charging. As soon as the battery is fully charged, the green indicator will light up. While charging, the flashlight can be used in any mode except strobe and continuous color change, but depending on the battery charge level, not all modes may be available and the total charging time will be extended. 

Battery charge status indication - When the light is off, press the button briefly for three seconds to activate the battery charge level indication. Green indicates a sufficient state of charge (100% - 85%), green flashing 85% - 50%, steady red 50% - 25% and flashing red a critically discharged battery (25% - 1%). If the battery is discharged, the flashlight will gradually automatically switch to lower power modes, and in the lowest mode, the battery charge indicator will flash red to indicate that the battery needs to be recharged or replaced. The indication only works correctly with original batteries.

Intelligent overheating protection - When using the lamp at high power modes for a long time, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the performance gradually increases again.

Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below 3.0 V, the flashlight will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power is reached, the battery charge status icon will start flashing on the OLED display. In this case, recharge the flashlight as soon as possible or replace the battery with a charged one. 

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Use only the above high-current rechargeable Li-ion 21700 batteries.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
• If the light does not switch to higher power modes, flashes or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
  
  • The battery is almost empty - recharge it.
  • The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The back part of the lamp is loose - tighten it.
